Handover off the new electric cranes

Today was the official handover of our brand new and first ever in the Netherlands, full electric harbor mobile crane. The crane is operational at the Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal at the Maasvlakte where we now are working with 4 harbour mobile cranes of Konecranes (2 x 100MT + 2 x 125MT, max lift cap twinlift is 187,5MT). With a 690V external power supply, it will reduce noise and exhaust emissions significantly.

Thanks to the Konecranes team for handing over the crane much sooner than expected. Also thanks to our crane drivers who helped Konecranes with installing the big and heavy parts such as placing the superstructure on top of the undercarriage, weighing an impressive 96.000kg. The total weight of the crane will be about 440.000kg. The electric crane is part of our further electrification and environmental sustainability program.
