Picture of the week: Scaldis Gulliver

On this picture of the week you can see the Scaldis Gulliver laying alongside our Rhenus Waalhaven Terminal berth.

After having discharged some heavy equipment at our Rhenus Deep Sea Terminal Maasvlakte last weekend, she sailed onwards to the Waalhaven where she will be staying a while for some normal maintenance.

The Gulliver is a heavy-lift floating crane vessel optimised for offshore projects. The vessel has a length of 108m, a breadth of 49m and a depth of 8m. She is equipped with 2 Huisman cranes, one on port side and one on starboard. Each crane can lift up to 2,000t what provides that the ship has a hoisting capacity of max 4,000t. The cranes can lift to a height of 78.5m above the deck.

Rhenus Port Logistics in Rotterdam has 1700 meters of quay, ideally located for offshore projects (Rhenus Maasvlakte) and/or offshore layby for mobilizations and demobilizations (Rhenus Waalhaven). In addition, we can take care of other offshore activities. More information can be found here.
